Sculptures & Assemblage by Damien
These are just a
small sample of Damien's work; you can see much more art by visiting Ancient Arts at
1065 K Street in Arcata, California
or call 707-825-8282 to find out where Damien's sculptures and assemblage are
currently on display.
Demento Mori Fossil Sculptures
These futuristic fossils are each a prime example of anticipatory archaeology, art that presages the cataclysm.
Each is individually hand-sculpted from Italian clay, then mounted using local dirt and stones.
Light-colored sand backgrounds were made in the Mojave desert; dark ones were made in Humboldt County.
This is but a small sample of available works. Damien also makes custom pieces for discerning clients.

CRANIUM SKEKSUM

FACSIMILE ALIATUS

CRANIUM ARGENTUM FOETUS FATALIS

HORDE DRACONIS
Apocalyptic Die-O-Ramas
The end is near? No! The end is here!
Damien's apocalyptic die-o-ramas each tell a unique story of failed space exploration and/or with planetary cataclysm.
Available in many sizes and various levels of doom & gloom.

Assemblage
Damien's latest passion is assemblage.

The cyborg army and die-o-ramas that grace the windows of Ancient Arts.
Each cyborg skull is unique. Available in three sizes: mini, medium, magnum.

The Slime Traveler:
assemblage over a wooden banana slug carved by artist Phillip Burgess. Hard to see
in this picture, but it's being driven by a little alien in the cockpit
(actually, the top half of a Buzz Lightyear toy) on top
of the slug. Various parts of this sculpture light up.
This piece was donated to the North Coast Blood Bank for a
fundraiser and was auctioned off for the highest amount that evening!
Now in the collection of Phillip Burgess!
